We’re #1 !!! Or according to Newsweek Magazine, #605!
Fun Fact: in 2009, Newsweek Magazine rated Miramar High School as the 605th top school in America. Actually, this ranking wasn’t too bad, as it places MHS in about the top 6% of all High Schools, nationwide.1

About the School Grades
- Florida uses School Grades to measure the overall performance of a school each year on the FCAT.
- Each school is assigned a letter grade (A-F) based on three criteria: the overall performance on the FCAT, the percentage of eligible students who took the test, and whether or not students made progress in reading and math.
- The School Grades are calculated by adding points earned from each of the performance criteria listed above.
